The Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology Department has developed a diverse set of research programs spanning from the physical sciences to the biological sciences, but always having a molecular basis and an emphasis on disease or medicine. Research areas include analytical medicinal chemistry; computational and biophysical medicinal chemistry; medicinal and bioorganic chemistry; medicinal biochemistry and molecular biology; molecular pharmacology and toxicology; and natural products and pharmacognosy.
